Metatron Martine Weber · 2024
"Metatron" is a captivating 100cm x 70cm painting that unveils a complex and thought-provoking cosmic panorama. The upper half of the canvas presents a celestial landscape featuring an Earth-like planet with a vibrant white light in its core preceding a moon, accompanied by a mountainous region crowned with a pyramid on the left pointing to the North Star and the Orion constellation. A graphite moon, a Mars-like planet, and a greenish domed city enhance the composition, while a star on the brink of supernova and a nebula reminiscent of the Milky Way add dynamic elements to the scene.
The lower half transports viewers to another planetary surface, providing a panoramic vista of the cosmic tableau above. A mountain with a small pyramid rests on the left, juxtaposed with a futuristic city on the right. In the foreground, two alien guarding figures, symbolized by golden-copper and silver-green spheres, converge in a heart shape, emblematic of unity and protection.
Below these figures lies a water-like surface, seamlessly transitioning into the semblance of a futuristic city submerged underwater. The arms of the guarding figures extend into a heart-shaped connection, mirroring the chakra-like lights surrounding a central geometric figure. This core figure, named "Metatron," radiates cosmic energy, adorned with striped eyes that peer into the vastness of the universe.
The geometric figure is the focal point, intricately linking the various elements with precision and intention. Each component, from the spheres to the pyramid structures, contributes to a symphony of contemporary, futuristic art, inviting viewers to delve into the depths of imagination and cosmic symbolism.
"Metatron" is a visual odyssey that seamlessly blends celestial aesthetics with futuristic elements, offering a unique and evocative narrative for those who appreciate the convergence of art and the cosmic unknown.
