مارتين ويبر هي فنانة ذاتية التعليم تعيش في أوترخت. كانت الإبداع خيطًا ثابتًا طوال حياتها. بعد أخذ دروس في الرسم في جامعة الشعب، بدأت العمل بالأكريليك وزيت الباستيل في عام 2023. بالإضافة إلى الرسم، تكتب الشعر وتؤلف الموسيقى تحت اسم صوفي ويبر، حيث تتردد نفس الحساسية والخيال في أعمالها.

يعبّر عملي عن ارتباط عميق بمحيطي. أرسم مناظر المدن والطبيعة كما أختبرها، مانحةً شكلاً للحظات التلاقي والحياة المشتركة. أحياناً، تظهر أشكال بشرية وحيوانية جنباً إلى جنب، عاكسةً المشاعر والارتباط في حوار هادئ بين الإنسانية والأقارب الطبيعيين الذين نتشارك معهم أرضنا.
الرسم يمنحني اتجاهاً ومعنى. مع كل ضربة فرشاة، أترجم عالمي الداخلي — إيقاعه، ألوانه، وحالاته — إلى قصة بصرية. لوحاتي تُحيي طاقة العالم من حولي: ملونة، متعددة الطبقات، وفي حركة.
من خلال عينيّ، تنبض أوترخت أيضاً بالحياة بمعالمها الشهيرة، وزواياها المخفية، وأجوائها المميزة. كل لوحة هي تعبير بصري وسرد شخصي في آنٍ معاً، مُلتقَط على القماش ليختبره الآخرون بطريقتهم الخاصة.

Two Paintings Showcased at ART GAMEREN IX I’m excited to announce that two of my recent paintings were featured in the ART GAMEREN IX exhibition, held on October 4th, 5th, and 6th, 2024 at Ridderstraat 23 in Gameren. This special event, hosted by Caroline and Jacqueline Mulder from GrachtenGalerie (Utrecht) offered visitors a chance to explore new works of art within a stunning countryside setting. Several weekends a year or on request, I exhibit in a Canal Wharf cellar on one of the most beautiful stretches of the Oudegracht in Utrecht.
